Responsibilities:

· Develop and integrate electrical control systems for machines and manufacturing processes.

· Be part of the Alaark Engineering Team, working with Automation, Controls, and Integration.

· Help develop our organizational technical competencies surrounding programming and controls systems.

· Work on the integration, design, and support of robotics equipment.

· Write, edit, and enhance PLC, PAC, and robotic programs for new and existing equipment.

· Provide initial project development including concept, design, layouts, cost estimating, research and selection of the best equipment and project submittals with timelines and contingencies.

· Facilitate and coordinate several projects simultaneously.

· Use your technical knowledge of engineering to recommend non-traditional, creative ideas and solutions.

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering technology, or related field required.

Qualifications

· Two years of control system programming experience including: PLC ladder logic, HMI screens, servo motion control, and robotics required.

· Two years of experience using structured text programming languages required. Examples include programming Ignition’s SCADA software, ABB’s Robotic Studio, or FANUC’s Karel. Other experiences using languages such as C++ or Pascal will be given consideration.

· Superior programming and electrical troubleshooting skills.

· Strong written & verbal communication and presentation skills.

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team-based environment.

· Proven experience in project management/leadership.

· Ability and willingness to travel.

Hardware Qualifications:

Experience in any of the following is preferred.

· PLC: Micrologix (1000, 1100, 1200, 1500), ControlLogix, CompactLogix

· Robotic: ABB, FANUC

· Servo: Ultra 3000, Kinetix 350, 5500, 6000

· AC Drives: Allen Bradley (PowerFlex 4, PowerFlex 70, PowerFlex 525, PowerFlex 527)

· HMI: Allen Bradley Panelview Plus, PC based Industrial Computers

· Network: EtherNet IP, Cisco, Stratix

· Vision: Cognex, Keyence, LMI

Software Qualifications:

Experience in any of the following is preferred.

· SCADA: Ignition by Inductive Automation

· Rockwell: Studio 5000, RSLogix (500, 5000), FactoryTalk View (ME, SE, ViewPoint), FactoryTalk Asset Centre

· Robotic: ABB’s Robotic Studio, FANUC’s Roboguide

· Network: Command Line Interface (CLI), Cisco DNA, Cisco CyberVision

· Windows 11, Windows Office Suite
